Increasing the knowledge on the distribution of Taccarum ulei (Araceae)
a new record for the state of Bahia, Brazil

Taccarum ulei (Araceae) is reported for the first time for Bahia state. This is also the first mention of the genus Taccarum for the State. The species was registered in the municipality of Barra and Vitória da Conquista. We provide notes on the morphology, habitat, distribution, as well as photos of the plant and a map of the new occurrence.
