Flora da Paraíba, Brasil: Santalaceae R. Br.

Este estudo trata do levantamento taxonômico de Santalaceae R. Br. no Estado da Paraíba, Brasil. A família caracteriza-se, principalmente, por possuir ervas hemiparasitas de taxonomia complexa. Na área de estudo, foram reconhecidas nove espécies pertencentes a dois gêneros (Dendrophthora Eichler e Phoradendron Nutt). Dentre as suas espécies, três, quais sejam, Dendrophthora warmingii (Eichler) Kuijt, Phoradendron dipterum Eichler e Ph. quadrangulare (Kunth) Griseb. foram registradas pela primeira vez para a flora do estado da Paraíba. Phoradendron quadrangulare apesar de nunca ter sido registrada para o Estado foi a mais frequentemente encontrada durante este estudo. O tratamento inclui uma chave de identificação, descrições taxonômicas, relação de material examinado, dados de distribuição e ilustrações para as espécies.
