A new species of Rumohra Raddi (Dryopteridaceae – Pteridophyta) from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

Rumohra turficola Senna sp. nov., a new species from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, is described and illustrated. A peltate indusia and rachis, on the adaxial side, with two parallel grooves accompanied by a central elevation which extends until the penultimate segment, are characteristics of the genus. R. adiantiformis (Fort.) Ching differs from the new species, especially by the echinate spores, pinnule subsessile to sessile, laminar margin shortly aculeate, and developing in turf habitats.
