We conducted a taxonomic survey of tribe Bignonieae (Bignoniaceae) for the state of Paraiba (Northeastern Brazil) based on: (i) material collected during 24 monthly field expeditions to various municipalities within the state; (ii) analysis of specimens deposited in key herbaria from the studied area (CSTR, EAN, and JPB), Pernambuco (UFP, PEUFR, and HST), and Rio de Janeiro (RB); and, (iii) study of images of botanical material available at online databases. Overall, we documented 11 genera and 26 species. We present identification keys for all genera and species documented, taxonomic descriptions, information on the geographic distribution, habitat, and phenology for all species, as well as images and illustrations for various taxa.
