El género Leucocoprinus Pat. se caracteriza por poseer basidiomas lepiotoides a coprinoides,
el píleo de consistencia membranosa a carnosa; la superficie es granulosa escamosa a granulosa
fibrilosa, con indumentos que generalmente se desprenden con facilidad al tacto; su margen es
radialmente estriada, diferencia que lo separa macroscópicamente de Leucoagaricus Locq. ex
Singer (Singer 1986). Presenta laminillas libres, delgadas, próximas a apretadas, con o sin lamélulas, generalmente concoloras con la superficie del píleo, a veces subdelicuescentes al madurar (...)
