Fitotoxicidade do extrato de <i>Conyza bonariensis</i> (L.) Cronquist no desempenho fisiológico de sementes e plântulas de alface

Resumo

Este trabalho objetivou avaliar a infl uência de concentrações do extrato de C. bonariensis sobre o desempenho fi siológico de sementes e no metabolismo antioxidativo de plântulas de alface. Os tratamentos foram as concentrações de 0; 2; 4; 6 e 8 % do extrato aquoso de folhas. Foram avaliados a germinação, primeira contagem de germinação, índice de velocidade de germinação, condutividade elétrica, emergência de plântulas, massa seca total de plântulas, conteúdo de peróxido de hidrogênio, peroxidação de lipídeos, atividade das enzimas, superóxido dismutase, catalase e ascorbato peroxidase. O extrato de C. bonariensis possui efeito tóxico sobre sementes e plântulas de alface. As maiores concentrações do extrato (6 e 8 %) proporcionam maior inibição da germinação e do crescimento inicial de plântulas. O aumento da concentração do extrato resulta na elevação da condutividade elétrica em sementes, dos níveis de peróxido de hidrogênio, da peroxidação lipídica e das enzimas superóxido-dismutase, catalase e ascorbato-peroxidase
